A Happy New Year to all from Turn 10 Studios! After a short break from our day to day activities over the holiday we’re back in the mix in 2010! With the new year we’re bringing our fans some of the biggest tournaments and events this community has ever seen. We’ve got lots of big contests going on right now so for the sake of simplicity here’s a list along with all the details you need to get involved!

1- Hyundai Forza Motorsport 3 Video Battle

The submission window for the sickest community tournament we’ve ever hosted is just around the corner, and with the winner walking home with their very own 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L V6 in the flesh this is one contest your don’t want to miss!

Visit www.Hyundaivideobattle.com on Tuesday January 2nd 2010 to find out how you can submit your 1 minute video. If you haven’t already make sure to read through the official rules here for specific guidelines that will help your video score big points with the judges over at Hyundai.

2- Hyundai Forza Motorsport 3 Championship

The time has come for all the hot lappers in the community to register for the Hyundai Forza Motorsport 3 Championship. You won’t be able to participate unless you first register your gamertag by downloading the required gamerpic, so make sure to get your act together now rather than later! Visit the official rules page here if you need help finding and downloading the Hyundai Registration gamerpic.

The first heat of competition starts on January 22nd 2010, with a new tournament happening each week thereafter. For the eager beavers out there looking to get in some practice, here are the track/car restrictions for the four weeks of competition.

Week 1 – January 22nd 2010
Car: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
Track: Iberian International Full Circuit

Week 2 – January 29th 2010
Car: 2010 HKS Genesis Coupe
Track: Catalunya National Circuit

Week 3 – February 5th 2010
Car: 2010 Rhys Millen Racing Genesis Coupe
Track: Le Mans Bugatti Circuit

Week 4 – February 12th 2010
Car: 2010 Hyundai Forza Motorsport 3 Genesis Coupe
Track: Sedona Raceway Park Full Circuit

3- Hot Holidays Time Trial – R35 Motegi East

The clock has just rolled over on our first custom time trial event and it’s time to send out some serious prizing. For those new to the community each week we’ll be hosting a new time trial event with specific car and track restrictions. The best part is you don’t need to be the fastest racer in the community to win! Visit the official thread here for all the details. Winners from the Holiday R35 Motegi time trial will be posted later this week. Also make sure to check the week in review blog this Friday for details on our next custom time trial event.
